Fishing · Brad Laabs Fishing Report - May 5, 2010
It has been difficult for area fisherman to get out consistently over the
last week or so due to our weather. We have had rain, wind, rain, wind and
cold!

The water temps are still above average, but the warm up has slowed. When
you can get out you will still find crappies and sunfish relating to the
warmer waters and suspended over 6-8ft water close to ready to emerge weed beds. Crappies are taking small jig/minnow combinations and sunfish are active on small leeches, ½ crawler or crappie minnows on small jigs/hooks under bobbers. You will have to pick your times to get out as our next ten days looks like rain. We will be getting warmer however! I will make some suggestions mid-week next week for the opener.
