Located in Minnesota's fabulous lake country, Tamarac Resort features over 60 wooded acres bordering the 42,000 acre Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge has a visitor center with exhibits and daily programs and slide
presentations, a gift shop, hiking trails, ancient burial grounds, numerous markers (be sure to see the one at the south end of the resort), boat accesses and a self guided auto tour for viewing wildlife. We are only 30 miles from Itasca State Park where you can picnic, wade across the Mississippi River, take an excursion boat tour, or hike and bike among magnificent old growth pines. We are also only 30 miles from Detroit Lakes and from Park Rapids, both with many restaurants, shops and various festivals and activities throughout the summer. Nearby you'll find trail rides, river tubing, and golf. This is also a great place to enjoy year round activities. |
